Text Messaging Terms

Last updated August 1, 2026

These terms govern the HireWRX text messaging program, which employers use to communicate with candidates about their job applications.

The short version

  • You only get texts if you asked for them while applying for a job.
  • You never have to agree to texts in order to apply.
  • Reply STOP to any message to stop them. Immediately, permanently, no questions.
  • Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge you anything.

Program description

HireWRX sends text messages on behalf of an employer to candidates who have applied for one of that employer's job openings. Messages relate only to your application, and include:

  • Confirmation that your application was received
  • A small number of role-specific screening questions
  • Interview scheduling, links and reminders
  • The outcome of your application

Every message identifies the employer by name. We do not send marketing, promotional or advertising messages of any kind through this program.

How you opt in

When you apply through an employer's HireWRX application page, you may tick a box giving express written consent to be texted about that application. The box is unchecked by default, and the disclosure shown next to it reads:

I agree that {Employer} may send me text messages about this application, including screening questions and interview scheduling. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Consent is not required to apply.

Consent is not a condition of applying, or of being hired. If you leave the box unticked your application is submitted, reviewed and decided in exactly the same way, and we contact you by email instead.

Your consent applies to the employer you applied to, for that application. It is never sold, shared, or transferred to another employer.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies by application and by employer. A typical application involves fewer than ten messages in total. You will not receive recurring messages after your application concludes.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. HireWRX and the employer do not charge you for these messages, but your mobile carrier may charge you for sending or receiving them according to your plan.

How to stop messages

Reply STOP to any message from us. We will send one final confirmation and then send you nothing further. You may also reply STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT.

Opting out is honoured immediately and platform-wide — it applies to every employer using HireWRX, not only the conversation you replied to. It does not withdraw or affect your job application, and you will continue to receive application updates by email.

If you opt out and later change your mind, reply START, or tick the consent box on a future application.

How to get help

Reply HELP to any message, or email support@hirewrx.com. For questions about the job itself or the status of your application, contact the employer directly — they decide, not us.

Carriers and delivery

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed, and messages may be delayed or blocked by your carrier or device. Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, US Cellular, MetroPCS, Cricket and others; carrier participation may change without notice.

If you change or deactivate your mobile number, please tell the employer or email us so that messages do not reach the number's new holder.

Privacy

Mobile information collected through this program is covered by our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
